"The Gallant Legion", 1948, starred Adele Mara and William Elliott seen together on the left in this publicity photo. Tex, playing the role of marshal, examines the deceased along with the train conductor and another passenger.
During the war years of the 1940's, when resources were scarce, half-sized posters of upcoming movies were colorized even though the films were in black and white. Tex, on the right, is once again the "bad man" in Gene Autry's "Twilight on the Rio Grande".
This picture of Tex Terry appeared on the cover of "Better Times", a free newspaper from Terre Haute, Indiana, June 6, 1979. Even though he had left the movie business 7 years earlier, he still enjoyed his role as the "Hollywood Cowboy", serving up food, drinks, and tall tales at his Coxville Indiana saloon called "Tex's Longhorn Tavern".
